Analysis of health behaviors based on psychological, cultural, social, and environmental factors; highlighting health behavior theories.

Global Health

With emphasis on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this course assessed health needs, as well as origins of disease and disability across the world, focusing on how public health work is conducted internationally.

Epidemiology

Introduction to epidemiological research methods and principles used in the study of origin, distribution, and incidence of diseases.

Human Health and Disease

An overview of behavioral, biological and psycho-social factors associated with major human diseases and conditions, with an emphasis on best health practices. Knowledge of chronic diseases was emphasized and students were tasked with investigating ongoing prevention strategies in the United States related to the treatment of various ailments.

Sample Work

The HLTH 2400 sample work demonstrates my  understanding of public health issues that disproportionately college students who experience restrictive eating disorders. 

The HLTH 3800 sample work contains a project  that applied different concepts of epidemiology to create a well rounded synopsis of how a disease is transmitted, who is at risk, as well as the burden of disease.
